Our 140th Anniversary was celebrated on 20 August 2023. This was a jubilant occasion with the church packed with current and past members together with various dignitaries.

Several members presented items during the worship service with a highlight being a magnificent operatic solo by music teacher Lisa Harper-Brown.

A short sermon was given entitled ‘Garments of Grace’. “So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Following the service the congregation retired to the church hall for a wonderful buffet. The restoration of the hall had been planned so that it was finished in time for this important occasion, and many favourable comments were made regarding it’s enhanced appearance.

This was a time of blessed remembrance for the past and a dedication to the future as a vibrant Wesley Chapel continues to serve the community.

Ladies Guild 2022 Christmas Luncheon

The Ladies of the congregation enjoyed lunch and fellowship at the Woodbridge Hotel in Guildford, on the 6th December.

Little Street Library, for the sharing of books, and a Prayer Box where local residents can leave prayer requests, have been erected in front of the church.

The ‘Little Street Library’ is a simple book swap. Anyone can stop by and collect a book or two, and replace the ones they take with other books.

A prayer request may be submitted on the forms provided on the ‘Prayer Box‘. Our congregation will include requests in prayers during regular Sunday worship services.
